My new album

So last night I done downloaded (part of?) Radiohead's new album In Rainbows, for which I paid 2 pounds (about 4 US dollars). On first listen, I must say that it's pretty good...and that says a lot because sometimes it takes me a few listens for a song/album to grow on me (Arcade Fire, anyone?). The songs are more mellow, which is precisely the kind of music I've taken a liking to lately. It's more electronic-ey than rock-ish (but a lot less electronic than the pseudo-techno on Thom Yorke's solo album). So those of you who prefer "real rock" with it's guitar riffs, this album may not be for you.
So now I think I would have been willing to pay more for the download, but that's ok because I am considering buying their actual CD (with extra songs) when it comes out early next year.

Radiohead are a fantastic band no doubt about it..... some of their earlier stuff is a little more raw and slightly in your face, slightly twisted at times rock... their latter stuff is mixed a little more with electronic music (note I haven't heard their newest stuff that peeps are in the process of DLing)... there is a commonality for all their material though, they great SONG writers, and their songs feature melody throughout. IMO anyone that calls themselves a music lover should have at least one or two radiohead albums/CDs in their collection..... crickey, even my mother loves them..... mind you "and justice for all" was something she would listen to on the way to work ;). MUSE sound very much like radiohead at times, maybe just a little less weird, which is not necessarily a good thing when it comes to music ;). Some have said MUSE ripped radiohead off their similarity is so close. SO if you like MUSE you will like radiohead based on the comparsions.

The bogan from down under!!!!!
