Facebook and Snow
Mar. 21st, 2018 03:52 pmHey, it's been a while. The reason for this is that I've been pretty busy. We had guests two weekends in a row and I'm just beginning to recover from that.
On the social media side, news about Facebook has been blowing up.
Here is an article on WIRED that explains the current situation pretty well.
And here's a WIRED opinion piece that expresses better than I could the sense of frustration and urgency that I feel about Facebook and the "Big 3" social media platforms in general.
Also, it's been snowing nonstop the past 24 hours. We've supposedly passed the Spring Equinox yet this is turning out to be the biggest snowfall this season. I really regret having driven to work this morning. But if I can't get my car out of its parking spot, then I have options, like taking the bus home or, if worse come to worst, I can walk. But I'll have to be able to drive my car tomorrow for sure because I have my photography class after work. Here's hoping I'm just being paranoid.
