An Airport Dream
Nov. 8th, 2007 07:03 amAfter all the stress from my flight to Philly a few weeks ago, I made the decision that I will no longer fly to a place that I can drive to in six hours or less...this especially applies to returning home for Thanksgiving. Well, after that Philly Phlight, out of the blue, my mom started insisting that I fly home for Thanksgiving! I told her that flying on one of the busiest travel times of the year would inevitably bring delays. So on both Sunday and Monday, I had to firmly tell her "NO" when she kept nagging me about it and even offered to pay for the ticket. Each time I told her now, she'd say "ok. bye" and hang up. I think she might be pissed at me because she hasn't called me back since...
So strangely enough, the night before last, I dreamt that I was driving (in heavy traffic, of course) to the Pittsburgh Airport, where I was supposed to catch a flight (to where? I don't remember now...). At the airport, in a random and pleasantly surprising twist of fate, I happen to run into
almariel and her man A! Where they were going to, I don't remember either...
Anyway, after waiting for some time, I somehow start thinking that I got to the airport way too soon so I decided to drive back "home" (my apartment? my Salisbury house? not sure...) and return to the airport once it's almost time to board. But then I look at my watch and see that the flight is taking off in one hour so I realize that I have to stay. I am about to call my mom to let her know and at that moment, she seems to appear out of nowhere and either takes me to the Food Court to get something to eat or somehow brings dinner for me from home. The last thing I remember is eating dinner at the Food Court...
So yeah...that was interesting in light of the circumstances...
PS-Still can't get over the awesome-tasting "Golden Curry" I had last night for dinner! ;-)
