The Clock Strikes Midnight for THIS Cinderella!

As I posted my last entry, I saw that my LJ theme had been automatically changed to what you see now! (as of 9:25 pm on 12/11, anyway) Also, a large chunk of my userpics have been hacked off too...*tear*
Well, I kind of did expect it since I received an email notifying me that my paid account would expire today. But I am letting it go for now because already I am racking up a bit of holiday debt...and all those little expenses are adding up...not to mention that big expense of flying over to Texas for the holidays!
Since the theme I was using is available only to those with a paid account, I wondered what my theme would be automatically changed to and exactly when today...I must say though...for being a "free account" LJ theme, it looks very nice pretty and I like the color...I might keep it yet ;-)
The only thing that irks me is that my LJ is now surrounded by annoying ads. It's like I went from living in a mansion to living in a ratty old apartment. *grin* Oh well...I'll see for how much longer I can stand it ;-)

So my beautiful coach has been turned back into a pumpkin and I now stand dressed in rags...
I just want to thank slashtacular one last time for being my fairy godmother (fairy godfather? Hrm?) and allowing me to go to the Ball that is also known as the LJ Paid Account!

...And perhaps in the not too far off future, I'll bring out that glass slipper and return to a Paid Account yet!

Awwww, poor B! Wow, has it been a year of A-ticket LJ-ness already? It reminds me of that Britcom "Keeping Up Appearances" where the heroine would do ANYTHING to seem a member of the successful upper class, including (as luck would have it) renting a part of a mansion... if only a TIIINY apartment at the very tippity top!
So now I guess you have a conundrum on your hands, trying to be parsimonious with your icons and such... At least you seemed to make good use of them while you had them! And like you say, you'll one day soon hopefully be in a position to pick it back up!

Yeah, I think I'd prefer to be the fairy godfather...although does that mean I have to wear a pinstriped suit and a fedora and a mustache and sunglasses, and talk in a breathy voice? ;)

Anyway, it must be a bummer to lose all those precious icons...but you still have 15, which is pretty substantial! And the ads are annoying, but LJ's gotta pay the rent somehow.

Well, I didn't lose lose my icons since I have them stored on my computer. It's just a matter of loading them on again if/when I'm back on a Paid Account.
And yes...do DO have to wear those things...except for a mustache ;-) ...Or you can wear any snazzy outfit of your choice ;-)
